Activities
At a very encouraging meeting held on October 19th, members of the local community showed their strong support for this work and came up with many great suggestions as to how money could be raised, including:
Crowd Patch; Tesco/Waitrose token schemes; Newbury Building Society; Coop; Tesco Community Champion; Englefield Trust; Stryker, along with such fund-raising events as a Quiz night at the Bowlers Arms; Children’s Literary Events, with visiting authors.
For all of this to happen we need individuals to help with fundraising. Can you help?
Coffee Morning and Book Sale - 10am – 12pm, Saturday, 30th March
The Friends of Wash Common Library would like to invite you to a Coffee Morning and Book Sale, 10am – 12pm, Saturday, 30th March at Wash Common Community Centre
Quiz evening - 7pm, Thursday, 9th May
We are also holding a Quiz evening, 7pm, on Thursday 9th May at the Bowlers arms, tickets on sale at the library.
